The Y is an inclusive, charitable organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.
To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
The NOBLE COUNTY FAMILY YMCA was incorporated in March 1979 and became a charter member of the YMCA of the USA in 1980. Serving a community of 6,000, we moved into our first building, the Annex, in November 1980 and it served as our home base until 1986. In 1986 our Main Building was opened offering an indoor pool, full size gym, weight and cardiovascular rooms, locker rooms and administrative areas. The Annex became our primary program service area for Child Care, Child Watch, Youth and Adult Fitness, Art and Humanities and Community activities.
At the Y, we are continuing to make a positive and measurable impact on the community’s health by expanding program offerings that encourage healthy lifestyles and foster connection with others.
Nearly 3,000 individuals in the Noble County area turn to our Y for programs and services that enhance their lives. Therefore, we strive to be the very best community service organization possible. We are dedicated to helping children, families and seniors grow through our mission of “building healthy spirit, mind and body for all”.
We are proud to be one of the smallest full service Y’s in America serving the Noble County area bringing Health & Wellness through program and membership to Perry and its smaller communities.
